Newborn sessions are an amazing way to capture your baby's first few weeks of life. These sessions are tailored specifically for babies less than a month old. Babies change so much within the first few months and it is amazing to look back on how tiny they once were! Your session will be customized specifically for you and your home. I would love to work with you to match a specific color scheme or theme that you have in mind. This is especially good if you are interested in purchasing additional products to display in your home.

On the day of your session, you will come to my studio location in Sycamore and sit back and relax while I photograph and care for your baby. My Timeless and Heirloom newborn sessions are very involved and take a lot of time because of frequent feedings. It also requires a lot of patience as we work to pose your baby and keep him or her asleep. Your baby will be posed in a variety of poses (wrapped, dressed, and naked) on my professional posing system. I will also use multiple backdrops and flokati rugs of your choice during this portion. I will then move to props in which your baby will be photographed in buckets, baskets, crates, etc.
My Classic newborn sessions are not as involved as a full session. These sessions last up to an hour and include only wrapped poses. I will use multiple styles and colors of wraps, but the base wrap will never come off as to keep your baby comfy and cozy for a quick set of poses. Feedings are most likely not necessary during these sessions. If family portraits are included in your session package, we will do this portion first. Family portraits are photographed on either a simple neutral backdrop, or my lifestyle window setup.
Within a 1-2 weeks of your session, I will send you an online proofing gallery of all of the images taken during the session (this does not include the images that didn’t turn out, or duplicates of certain poses/angles). From there, you will choose the specific amount of photos included in your session option. You may select more for an additional price if desired. Once your photos have been selected, I will edit them and upload them to your online gallery within about two to three weeks. You will be able to download them directly to your computer, phone, tablet, etc., and take them to be printed wherever you choose with the included print release. Keepsake prints will be ready for pickup within a week, and albums will take about two weeks as they are custom made. I will be in contact with you to approve the final design of the album within a week. I also have high quality prints, canvases, and albums available to purchase through my professional print lab.
